How late can I order flowers for a yacht in Antibes?

Do you deliver flowers to yachts outside the Mediterranean?

Yes. From November to April we fly fresh cut flowers from the Dutch auction to yachts wintering in the Caribbean, the Maldives, the Seychelles and Southeast Asia. 48 hours’ notice, permits and customs handled.

How long does it take to get flowers from Holland to a yacht in the Caribbean?

About three days from your message: 48 hours' notice, then one to two days in the air. Where an island needs an import permit, plan it once for the season before your first order; after that every order runs at three days. Bought at the Aalsmeer auction, packed cold, certified the same day, cleared by the agent and delivered to the passerelle still cold.

Do you work with yacht agencies and management companies?

Yes. Some boats order through their interior team, some through the captain, some through their agent. All three are routine, and outside the Med we work with whichever agent the boat already uses.

How long has Yacht Floral Design been trading?

Since 1996, on Port Vauban in Antibes, same family. Flowers, plants and orchids for superyacht interiors is the only thing we do.

We hold all of that, and we work with the agent at the other end, yours if you already have one and ours if you do not.

You give us the port. We do everything else.

Permits, certificates, freight, customs, delivery to the passerelle. None of it is your problem. We work with whichever agent you already use, or bring our own if you do not have one. We have shipped to the Caribbean, the Maldives, the Seychelles and Phuket before, and if something needs sorting at the border we sort it before you hear about it.

We clear the way

The agent applies for the import permit where one is needed, yours or ours. You do not have to speak to anyone.

Bought and certified

Bought that morning at Aalsmeer, packed into numbered boxes, inspected and certified on the spot.

Flown and cleared

One to two days in the air as perishable cargo, kept cold. The paperwork reaches the agent 48 hours before the flight lands.

On board

Handed over at the passerelle, still cold, exactly as listed. If anything is not right, tell us and we fix it.

The family

One boat in Antibes, in 1996.

One yacht, in 1996, on Port Vauban. We have never advertised, not once. A chief stewardess mentioned us to another, then moved to a bigger boat and asked for us there. Thirty years on that is still the whole marketing plan, and it is why the yacht agencies on this coast send us work as well.

The shipping started the same way. A boat we had looked after all summer left for the Maldives and asked if we could still send flowers. We worked out how. Since then we have shipped to the Caribbean, the Seychelles and Thailand, and learned the customs paperwork for all of it.
